Nixon Library

I went to the Nixon Library with Alex's mom on Saturday.

It was a very beautiful facility,
could have lived without all of the Nixon paraphernalia,
but I guess that was the point.

Anyhow, the house is where he was born,
there were lots and lots of flowers (1400 rose bushes),
and lots of old memorabilia.
It was neat to look at all of the historical pieces on display.
We even got to go inside the helicopter he departed DC in.

And, according to the video I watched,
he was in no way involved with Watergate.
(chuckle, chuckle)

Pink Friday

Well, I participated in my first rally this afternoon.
I don't think demonstrating is really my thing, but I gave it a whirl.
Took a couple of pix, so I'd at least have something to blog about.

I really do care about the job cuts,
and the students that are going to suffer...REALLY!
I guess I did my part,
there weren't many out there today!

blah, blah...my head is confused...it was a weird experience for me.

On the Metrolink

Alex and I took the Metrolink to Union Station in LA.
Walked around Olvera Street and Chinatown.

Had a blast until a migraine hit,
then it was all downhill.
Ended up at urgent care from 9:30 until 11:00,
Got two shots in the butt.
Fun times.

I was feeling the love today.
So many treats and treasures from my kiddies,
This is only part of it, I had to give some of it away...
...two more boxes of chocolate and a cake.
